Along with the newly released Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute Pro, the 2022 Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard is a new addition to the Italian bike maker’s retro motorcycle catalogue. Combining Star White Silk and Ducati GP ’19 Red, the Urban Motard comes with graphics interpreted by Centro Stile Ducati to evoke images of street art and urban graffiti.

The graphics eschew the traditional “logo in a box” and spills over the 13.5-liter fuel tank panels, giving what Ducati says is a rebellious outlook on life.” An air-cooled, 803 cc V-twin with Desmodromic valves produces 73 hp of power at 8,250 rpm and 67 Nm of torque at 5,750 rpm, mated to a six-speed gearbox and chain final drive.

Kayaba provides suspension at either end of the Urban Motard, upside-down 41 mm diameter Kayaba forks in front and twin preload-adjustable Kayaba shock absorbers at the back. Braking is done with a single 330 mm brake disc, clamped by a radial four-piston calliper in front and a 245 mm disc with single-piston calliper at the back, while Bosch Cornering ABS is standard equipment.

Unlike the bigger Scrambler 1100 Pro, the Urban Motard rolls on Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres, sized 120/70 in front and 180/55 in the rear. LED lighting with auto-cancelling turn signals is used throughout on the Urban Motard, with the seat height set at 798 mm and wet weight listed at 196 kg.

The Urban Motard enters the smaller Ducati Scrambler lineup alongside the Scrambler Icon, Icon Dark and the more off-road oriented Scrambler Desert Sled. Meanwhile, the entry level into the Ducati Scrambler range, the Scrambler Nightshift, is priced at RM65,900 in Malaysia.
