Armed Forces build Bailey bridge to reconnect stranded villagers

JELEBU: Villagers at Kampung Bemban close to right here who had been stranded after a bridge linking their village to different areas was swept away in current floods can now breathe simple as a Bailey bridge has been constructed as a replacement.

The development of the 18m-long bridge constructed below the Compact Bailey Single Lane (CB 200) design was accomplished on Jan 19.

Commander of the third Infantry Division Maj Gen Datuk Tengku Muhammad Fauzi Tengku Ibrahim stated the development of the bridge throughout Sg Teriang was accomplished a day forward of schedule.

“Villagers can now get throughout to Kampung Jerang like they used to do beforehand.
