Biden administration in talks to head off 5G aviation standoff

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Biden administration is “actively engaged” with wi-fi carriers, airways, airplane producers and key federal businesses to deal with a looming aviation disaster, a senior administration official informed Reuters.

Airlines are making ready to cancel a major variety of passenger and cargo flights in the approaching hours to put together for AT&T and Verizon’s new 5G C-Band service that begins on Wednesday, after warning on Monday of “catastrophic” impacts.

Airlines need wi-fi carriers to not activate some wi-fi towers close to airport runways in a bid to keep away from a lot of the flight disruptions.
