Bodies of missing children found off Sabah island

KOTA KINABALU: The our bodies of the 2 children who have been reported missing after a ship capsized on Thursday (April 14) have been found.

A Sabah Fire and Rescue providers spokesman stated villagers recovered the our bodies alongside the coast of Pulau Puno Puno at 8.30am on Saturday (April 16).

He stated the our bodies have been handed over to the marine police to be transported again to the Semporna Hospital for a autopsy.

The identities of the 2 children haven’t been launched but.

On Thursday, 5 individuals drowned when a ship with 21 individuals capsized at about 8.45am off Pulau Tandoan, close to Semporna.

A search and rescue operation was launched for the missing children.

Police arrested the boat’s 64-year-old skipper on Friday (April 15) and are investigating the case for negligence.
