KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman has confirmed that it has begun investigating the drawing of a chimpanzee cartoon character dressed in what appears like royal apparel that was posted on social media.
Federal CID director Comm Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hasan mentioned the post acquired over 12,000 responses, 3,400 feedback and was shared 966 occasions.
“The post has angered many (social media customers) who described it as excessive.
“Investigations are being performed by the Bukit Aman CID Special Investigations Unit beneath Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act,” he mentioned in an announcement on Thursday (April 14).

Fahmi’s lawyer Rajsurian Pillai mentioned his consumer was arrested at round 4.20pm on Thursday.
