KUALA LUMPUR: Good and dangerous feedback from the general public is important for the police because it aids their methods in combating online scams, says Bukit Aman.

Bukit Aman CCID deputy director (Money Laundering/Forensic Accounting Investigation) Dept Comm Datuk Muhammed Hasbullah Ali stated that he welcomes all feedback from the general public, each constructive and detrimental.

“This is good because all these will help us restructure our strategy to combat all these online scams and crimes,” he stated throughout an online crime consciousness walkabout at Mid Valley Megamall on Saturday (Dec 4).

He added that with extra consciousness among the many public, extra can be keen to return ahead to file studies.

“Those who lose small amounts like RM200 to RM300 tend not to make reports. But imagine the amount of losses if the scammers were to cheat 3,000 victims,” he stated.
