KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman will transfer a police trainer to general duties while he is investigated over a viral video in which he allegedly makes sexist remarks to women trainees.

Bukit Aman Management director Comm Datuk Zaini Jass said police are aware of the 23-second clip purportedly featuring an officer serving as a trainer at a police training centre.

“We take this matter seriously as it can taint the integrity of the police force as well as the level of professionalism at police training centres.

“An internal investigation has started.

“The trainer will be transferred to general duties while investigations are carried out,” he said in a statement on Sunday (June 27).

He said the top brass will not compromise on any statement, act or conduct which can be perceived as sexist among police personnel.

“Any misconduct will be dealt with strictly and swiftly under all available laws and public servant disciplinary regulations,” he added.

The video, which was posted on TikTok, shows a man saying it is easy for women police trainees to make trainers happy.

He goes on to say all they need is to do jumping jacks, implying that trainers would ogle the trainees as they performed the exercise.

The video has since gone viral on Facebook and WhatsApp.
