Cops raid two entertainment outlets in KL, 150 fined for SOP violations

KUALA LUMPUR: Police issued greater than RM150,000 value of compound notices for Covid-19 normal working process violations after raiding two entertainment outlets right here.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya stated a workforce from Dang Wangi CID raided the two premises at round 12.30am on Sunday (March 20).

“We raided the outlets at Jalan Raja Chulan and Jalan Bukit Bintang.

“In the primary raid, we detained seven males, two of them foreigners, and 5 girls, aged between 18 and 45 years previous,” he stated in an announcement.

He stated police issued RM1,000 compound notices to 10 folks together with the supervisor of the outlet.

“We additionally arrested the two international males to help in investigations into SOP violations in addition to Immigration Act violations.

“In the second raid, we detained 70 males and 70 girls aged between 18 and 65 years previous,” he stated, including that they had been all issued RM1,000 compound notices.

ACP Noor Dellhan stated police have opened an investigation paper beneath Section 4(1) of the Entertainment Act (Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory) for organising nightclub actions with no legitimate licence.

“We advise the general public to adjust to the SOP set by the National Security Council.

“We will proceed to conduct operations and checks on entertainment outlet actions that are presently not allowed beneath Phase Four of the National Recovery Plan,” he stated, including that police would take stern motion towards anybody who deliberately violates SOP.
