Covid-19: Almost 50pc of country’s adult population given booster dose

KUALA LUMPUR: A complete of 199,251 adults in Malaysia obtained the Covid-19 booster dose on Thursday (Jan 27), bringing the cumulative quantity of booster doses administered to the adult population within the nation to 11,531,403 or 49.3 per cent of the group.

According to the Health Ministry’s (MOH) CovidNow portal, a complete of 22,921,716 or 97.9 per cent of the adult population have accomplished their vaccination, whereas 23,199,172 people or 99.1 per cent of the group have obtained a minimum of one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

For adolescents aged 12 to 17, a complete of 2,785,992 people or 88.5 per cent have accomplished their vaccination, whereas 2,866,545 people or 91.1 per cent have obtained a minimum of one dose of the vaccine.
