PUTRAJAYA: The Medical Device Authority has cancelled the conditional approval given to two corporations over considerations in regards to the security of their Covid-19 self-test kits.
The corporations are Innovac Technology Sdn Bhd and Conan Medical Technology Berhad.
In a Facebook put up on Monday (April 11), the authority mentioned the cancellation was as a result of the businesses had didn’t comply with the approval situations it had set.
“The cancellation is with immediate effect. The MDA advises consumers not to purchase or use Covid-19 self-test kits that do not meet our requirements, fearing that it may not be safe for use,” it mentioned on Monday (April 11).
Although it didn’t identify the manufacturers in its assertion, the MDA had posted two images of the self-test kits.
