PETALING JAYA: The country edges closer to its goal of vaccinating 90% of adults with 89.4% of Malaysia’s adult population or 21,104,898 people being fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as of Friday (Oct 8), according to the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV).
JKJAV, via in an infographic shared on its official Twitter account on Saturday (Oct 9), said that 94.7% of the adult population or 24,384,831 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine, including recipients of the single-dose CanSino vaccine.
Meanwhile, a total of 45,379,299 vaccine doses have been dispensed as of Friday including the single-dose and two-dose vaccines.
“A total of 174,820 vaccine doses were administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme yesterday,” it said.
The national immunisation plan was launched on Feb 24 to provide vaccination to curb the Covid-19 pandemic nationwide.
