Covid-19 vaccine: 336,642 doses administered on Saturday (Aug 28), says JKJAV

PETALING JAYA: A total of 336,642 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered on Saturday (Aug 28), bringing the total number of shots given in Malaysia so far to 33,724,744, says the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).

In a series of tweets, the JKJAV said that 146,632 individuals received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine on Saturday, while 190,010 got their second jab.

Johor administered the most first doses with 33,424 doses, followed by Perak (17,711), Sabah (15,515) and Kedah (14,040).

The most second doses were administered in Selangor with 31,502, followed by Sabah (27,788), Johor (27,157) and Kedah (17,487).

JKJAV added that as of Saturday, a total of 82.2% of the country’s adult population had received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 61.9% had received both doses.
