DHAKA (Reuters) – Afghanistan will tour Bangladesh this month to play three one-day matches and two Twenty20 Internationals, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) mentioned.
Afghanistan had been scheduled to tour Zimbabwe this month however the limited-overs series was postponed because the host board couldn’t prepare the required broadcasting providers wanted for the Decision Review System (DRS).
The series was initially scheduled in December however was postponed following the unfold of the Omicron coronavirus variant in Zimbabwe.
The Afghan workforce will now arrive in Dhaka on Feb. 12 and prepare in Sylhet earlier than travelling to Chattogram, which is able to host the one-day series from Feb. 23, the BCB mentioned in a press release on Thursday.
Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium hosts the Twenty20 matches on Mar. 3 and 5.
