MEGEVE, France (Reuters) – The tenth stage of the Tour de France was neutralised on Tuesday after half a dozen activists tried to stop riders on the highway.
The activists, considered one of them sporting a t-shirt saying “We have 399 days left”, sat on the highway some 36 kilometres (22 miles) from the end in Megeve, a Reuters witness mentioned.
Stage chief Alberto Bettiol rode by means of a cloud of pink from a flare earlier than being requested by a race official to step down his bike simply earlier than organisers mentioned the stage was neutralised.
