DASH developer Turnpike says it has fully paid all claims by former contractor Panzana

KUALA LUMPUR: Turnpike Synergy Sdn Bhd, the developer of the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH), said it has fully paid all certified and verified claims made by former contractor Panzana Enterprise Sdn Bhd.

Panzana’s contract as the main work package contractor for package CA4 of the DASH project was terminated on March 29.

It was reported that some sub-contractors under Panzana have grouped together in a consortium seeking due payment for work done on the project.

“Any payment disputes by the consortium of 4 contractors should be raised with Panzana in accordance with the relevant laws of Malaysia,” Turnpike said in a statement today.

Turnpike said that the four contractors are “solely sub- contractors” of Panzana, adding that the company does not have any contractual relationship with the said consortium.

“In the event that the consortium of four contractors are electing to pursue any legal proceedings against Turnpike, we have appointed solicitors to represent us in this matter moving forward,” it added.

On Tuesday, Melima Consortium, a group of four sub-contractors said it is seeking RM100mil for work done on the DASH project.
