Don’t neglect face masks and other SOPs during Thaipiusam, CNY, reminds Khairy

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians are reminded to proceed complying with Covid-19 commonplace working procedures (SOPs) during the Thaipusam celebration on Tuesday (Jan 18) and the Chinese New Year competition subsequent month.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin in a tweet Monday (Jan 17) instructed the general public to placed on their face masks and observe TRIIS – hint, report, isolate, inform and search always, activate MySJ Trace on the MySejahtera software and to get their booster dose of the vaccine.

“We have done well in ensuring Covid-19 infectivity rate remains under control throughout Christmas and the New Year despite Omicron.

“As we head into Thaipusam and CNY (Chinese New Year) daily numbers may go up so keep maintaining the SOPs (especially masks), TRIIS, switch on MySJ Trace in crowded areas and get boosted,” he stated.

Khairy stated up to now 4,724,012 MySejahtera customers have activated the MySJ Trace characteristic and 2,179 optimistic instances have uploaded their interactions which had helped inform others who’ve been in shut proximity to observe for signs or do a self-test.
