KUALA LUMPUR: Fourteen motorists have been detained for driving inebriated throughout a traffic operation in town.
Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst Comm Sarifudin Mohd Salleh stated the drivers, all males aged between 25 and 54, had been detained below Section 45(A) of the Road Transport Act 1987 throughout the operation performed from (*14*) (Feb 10) till Saturday (Feb 12).
“Their blood alcohol degree surpassed the permitted restrict.
“They had been delivered to the Kuala Lumpur Traffic police station (for) additional motion,” he stated in an announcement on Sunday (Feb 13).
A 16-year-old boy was additionally detained whereas driving a motorbike with a faux quantity plate, he added.
“We issued 361 summonses for numerous offences.

ACP Sarifudin stated a workforce of 70 was concerned in the operation performed at Jalan Loke Yew, Jalan Raja Laut and Jalan Tun Razak.
