American actress Stephanie Beatriz was secretly in labour when she recorded Waiting On A Miracle, a song from the Disney animated hit Encanto (2021).

The actress, who voiced the movie’s essential protagonist Mirabel Madriga, gave start to a woman the day after the recording.

“I did not wish to inform anyone at Disney as a result of I did not need anybody to freak out,” the 41-year-old, recognized for performing in tv comedy collection Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013 to 2021), informed leisure information outlet Variety.

“But I used to be already having some contractions once we had been scheduled to file that day. I used to be like ‘Well, fingers crossed I end the song earlier than (the child) comes.'”

Encanto director Byron Howard informed Variety that he had no concept that Beatriz was near giving start.

“We knew she was very, very, very, very able to have that child. But she didn’t inform us she was nearly, nearly prepared,” he says.

Broadway star Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote the songs on Encanto, joked that Beatriz sang Waiting On A Miracle while ready for her personal miracle.

Beatriz added in the identical interview that she intently identifies together with her animated character, a 15-year-old who’s the one member of her household with out magical powers.
