BRUSSELS (Reuters) – The European Union is able to impose sanctions with a “large price” for Russia if the Russian army invades Ukraine, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated on Friday.
“Let there be little doubt. If Russia had been to maneuver in opposition to Ukraine, the Union will probably be able to take sanctions that would extract a large price. We have carried out our work in that respect,” von der Leyen instructed a information convention following a summit of EU leaders in Brussels.
