Europe needs to soften competition stance in telecoms sector, Telenor CEO says

OSLO (Reuters) – Norway’s Telenor hopes the European Commission will change its stance on competition in the telecoms sector and permit for extra consolidation and thereby encourage investments in infrastructure, its prime government advised Reuters on Wednesday.

“The European Commission needs to undertake a distinct view right here, which permits for consolidation in the European context, or we’ll turn into an increasing number of marginalised in contrast to different elements of the world,” Telenor CEO Sigve Brekke stated in an interview.
