JOHOR BARU: Former Johor Lama assemblyman Rosleli Jahari has left Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia and says he intends to rejoin Umno.
He stated this in a brief video posted on former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s Facebook web page on Sunday (March 6).
In the video, the one-term assemblyman is seated subsequent to the previous prime minister.
“I announce that I have left Bersatu after losing confidence towards the party’s president and its administration.
“I will be requesting to rejoin Umno and assist Barisan Nasional candidates in the Johor election, in particular the Johor Lama seat,” he stated.
Rosleli is one in all three former Umno assemblymen who gained seats beneath a Barisan ticket within the final basic election earlier than becoming a member of Bersatu.
The different two are former Sedili assemblyman Rasman Ithnain, who was not too long ago embroiled in a sexual harassment allegation and Endau assemblyman Alwiyah Talib.
Both Rosleli and Rasman have been dropped by Perikatan Nasional from defending their seats whereas Alwiyah will defend her seat within the Johor election.
Bersatu’s preparation for the polls has been rocked by resignations of occasion leaders at each state and division ranges similar to former state Bersatu chairman Mazlan Bujang and former state exco member Datuk Mohd Izhar Ahmad.
