Facebook parent’s head of communications leaves company

Head of communications for Facebook’s father or mother company, Meta Platforms Inc (FB.O), John Pinette, can be leaving the company, the social media company mentioned  on Friday. 

Chris Norton, vp of worldwide communications, will fill the performing function, a Meta spokesperson mentioned in an emailed assertion to Reuters. 

“John Pinette has left Meta. We are grateful for his optimistic contributions throughout an intense and important time within the company’s historical past and  want him properly,” the assertion mentioned.

The spokesperson declined to say the rationale for Pinette’s departure, citing Meta’s coverage of not commenting on personnel issues. The Wall Street Journal first reported the departure of Pinette on Friday.Pinette was appointed vp of world communications in April 2019, in response to the company’s web site. 

Before Joining the company, Pinette led communications for Gates Ventures, Bill Gates’ non-public workplace and innovation lab, for 5 years and was  Asia Pacific Communications Manager for Google. Corp (MSFT.O).
