JOHOR BARU: The quantity of flood evacuees taking shelter three reduction centres (PPS) in Segamat stays at 77 individuals from 24 households as at 8am on Sunday (Jan 16).
Johor Health and Environment Committee chairman R.Vidyananthan, in an announcement stated 74 victims had been housed on the PPS at Sekolah Agama Gemereh whereas the remainder had been positioned at Balairaya Gemereh, Batu Badak.
He stated Dewan Serbaguna Jalan Genuang can be used if flood victims had been positioned below a Home Surveillance Order.
Vidyananthan suggested residents dwelling close to Sungai Bekok, Bekok Dam in Batu Pahat, to stay vigilant because the water stage in the river remains to be on the alert stage.
He added that the climate in the state is reported to be sunny together with in the flood-hit districts.- Bernama
