Football: Soccer-Ecuadorian striker Caicedo joins Inter on loan from Genoa

MILAN (Reuters) – Ecuadorian striker Felipe Caicedo has joined Inter Milan on loan from Genoa till the tip of the season, the Serie A champions confirmed on Saturday.

The 33-year-old has joined the membership as a backup possibility for coach Simone Inzaghi, who is aware of Caicedo properly having labored with him for 4 years when supervisor at Lazio.

“I’m very excited, I need to do properly, to begin with I thank coach Inzaghi who did every little thing to have me right here,” Caicedo instructed Inter TV. “He was crucial, he satisfied me instantly so I thank him and I can not wait to begin coaching with him.

“I’m very proud to have the ability to characterize my nation and be the primary Ecuadorian participant right here at Inter.”

Inter are on course to retain the Scudetto this season, as they maintain a 4 level lead on the prime of the Serie A standings, having performed one recreation lower than Napoli and AC Milan in second and third.
