(Reuters) – Everton winger Andros Townsend will miss the remainder of the season after struggling anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury within the FA Cup defeat by Crystal Palace, the Premier League membership mentioned on Wednesday.
Townsend, who was pressured off the sphere after 16 minutes throughout Sunday’s 4-0 loss to his former staff Palace, will endure surgical procedure subsequent week, Everton added.
The 30-year-old has made 27 appearances in all competitions and scored seven targets this season since becoming a member of the Merseyside membership in July.
Former England worldwide Townsend joined Everton on a two-year deal after spending 5 years at Palace.
Everton are seventeenth within the Premier League standings with 25 factors from 27 video games. They will return to motion at West Ham United on April 3 after the worldwide break.
