(Reuters) – The English Football Association (FA) is looking into a yellow card obtained by an Arsenal participant in a Premier League match this season amid considerations about suspicious betting patterns, it mentioned on Wednesday.
The Athletic reported bookmakers alerted the FA to uncommon betting patterns after the match.
“The FA is conscious of the matter in query and is looking into it,” the governing physique informed Reuters in a press release.
Arsenal are fifth within the league on 35 factors after 20 matches. They host Liverpool within the second leg of their League Cup semi-final on Thursday.
