Mariko Shinoda, a former member of Japanese lady group AKB48, has been caught cheating on her husband of three years.
In an audio recording revealed by Japanese journal Weekly Bunshun, the 36-year-old singer was heard admitting to having an affair with a businessman in his 30s and apologised for her infidelity.
“This is all my fault. I’m sorry for being such a bad person,” she mentioned within the recording, to which her husband responded, “There’s nothing you can do now. You’re the one who destroyed this family.”

Shinoda’s company has refused to reply to the matter.
