Former national hockey player S. Sivabalan passes away

KUALA LUMPUR: Former national hockey player S. Sivabalan, 59, died on Saturday afternoon (March 12) in Ipoh, Perak.

His dying was confirmed by Malaysia Hockey Confederation (MHC) deputy president Prof Datuk Dr S. Shamala.

Sivabalan had collapsed at 3.30pm whereas taking part in a hockey match commemorating the a hundred and twenty fifth anniversary of the Royal Ipoh Club on the grounds of the Perak Sikh Union Club.

“I used to be given to grasp that his mates had been with him when he instantly collapsed whereas taking part in.

“They tried to supply emergency resuscitation however he didn’t present any response,” he mentioned when contacted by Bernama.
