Google unveils artificial intelligence tool for real-world searches

(Reuters) – Alphabet Inc’s Google on Wednesday laid out plans to bridge the true world and its digital universe of search, Maps and different providers utilizing new advances in artificial intelligence.

At its annual Google I/O developer convention, the corporate previewed a characteristic that will let customers take video of cabinets of wine bottles at a retailer and ask its system to routinely determine choices from Black-owned wineries.

“This is like having a supercharged Ctrl+F for the world round you,” stated Prabhakar Raghavan, a Google senior vp, referring to the keyboard shortcut for discovering one thing in a doc. “You can search your entire world, asking questions any manner and wherever.”

Later this 12 months, Maps will launch an immersive view for some huge cities that fuses Street View and aerial photographs “to create a wealthy, digital mannequin of the world,” Google stated.
