JOHOR BARU: It was a grand Raya occasion at the Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi’s official residence at Saujana, as a merry crowd, together with the state’s high leaders and officers, visited the open home.
Onn Hafiz and his spouse, Datin Sharmin Fazlina Mohd Shukor, had been seen greeting their company, high leaders and civilians alike with heat smiles and pleasant greetings since 9am on Tuesday (May 3).
“The crowd has been overwhelming since morning and we understand that many Johoreans miss coming out to open houses, as they were unable to experience it for the past two years.
“I would like to wish Selamat Hari Raya to all Malaysians, especially Johoreans. While we celebrate this joyous occasion, I hope that everyone will still take safety measures, especially road safety issues, seriously,” stated Onn Hafiz to the press right here.
Some 10,000 individuals are anticipated to spend the second day of Hari Raya at the Mentri Besar’s open home from 9am to 3pm.
The company had been handled to an array of native delicacies, with laksa, mee soto, kacang pol, burasak and cendol being the favourites in the course of the festivities.
Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Iskandar and Johor Permaisuri Raja Zarith Sofiah Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah had been among the many visitor of honour.
Also current had been Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim and his consort Che’ Puan Besar Khaleeda Bustamam, Tunku Temenggong Tunku Idris Iskandar, Tunku Panglima Tunku Abdul Rahman and Tunku Putera Tunku Abu Bakar and Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
