Hockey: Perak girls storm into semi-finals

PETALING JAYA: Perak girls certified for the semi-finals of the nationwide Under-16 hockey championships in fashion with an enormous 11-0 win over Sabah.

Playing in Group B on the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil yesterday, Nur Qaisara Khairi stole the present with 5 targets within the seventh, twenty first, twenty fifth, thirty fifth and thirty sixth minutes.

Sabah have but to register any factors after six matches and are in final spot.

Meanwhile, Group B leaders Melaka, who’ve already sealed their place, remained unbeaten after edging Terengganu 1-0.

In the group’s different matches, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur performed to a 1-1 draw.

In Group A motion, Johor blasted 10 targets previous hapless Kelantan.

In the boys’ occasion, Kelantan thrashed Terengganu 6-0 whereas Perak overcame Kuala Lumpur 3-1 in Group A.

The different matches noticed Pahang securing a snug 4-0 win over Penang.

In Group B, Negri Sembilan ran riot over Sarawak to win 8-1.
