TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese automaker Honda Motor Co mentioned on Wednesday it had signed a joint development settlement for lithium-metal batteries with Boston-based EV battery firm SES Holdings Pte Ltd.
In an announcement, Honda mentioned SES deliberate to checklist on the New York Stock Exchange through a special-purpose acquisition firm (SPAC) transaction, and that the Japanese automaker deliberate to purchase about 2% of the listed firm, SES AI Corporation.
Lithium-metal batteries are anticipated to attain greater vitality density than lithium-ion batteries, that are utilized in most battery-electric autos at the moment.
