Inari Amertron rides on 5G demand

KUALA LUMPUR: Inari Amertron Bhd, a chip assembly and testing firm, said earnings surged in the fourth quarter on higher sales.

The group expects demand for its products to remain “robust” in the coming quarters, driven by the shift towards 5G devices and digitalisation of businesses.

Net profit ballooned 145% higher to RM88.36mil in the three-month ended June 30. revenue jumped 54% to RM361mil.

“Growth was recorded in all business segments with the radio frequency (RF) business segment continuing to be the key contributor to revenue growth,” Inari said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

The Group remained optimistic on its prospects for FY2022.

“The Group will remain focused on strategies to improve our production capacity and utilization to grow revenue consistent with or better than industry forecasts in FY2022,” Inari said.

“The downside risk is mainly the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the potential emergence of vaccine resistant variants,” it added.
