After receiving an nameless tip-off on Facebook, Georgie found that intimate pictures of her had been being shared on-line.

She remembered who had taken the pictures – and later an ex-partner confessed to sharing the photographs. But Georgie then came upon that the wording of the present laws aimed toward tackling the abuse meant that his confession could have been the factor that protected him.

Georgie has been campaigning with teams just like the End Violence Against Women Coalition and #NotYourPorn to see the laws round intimate image abuse modified.

She spoke to the BBC forward of the federal government’s long-awaited Online Safety invoice, as a result of be revealed this week, which the federal government have mentioned will tackle an unlimited checklist of on-line harms, together with intimate image abuse.
