PUTRAJAYA: The choice to name for election in Johor can be left to the Mentri Besar, says the Prime Minister.

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob mentioned the Federal authorities was not concerned in the choice making.

Ismail Sabri, who was additionally Umno vice-president, mentioned the supreme council throughout its assembly final week had determined to go away the matter to the state liaison chief and Mentri Besar to decide.

“If Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohamed feels that the polls want to be held, then he’ll search an viewers with the Sultan of Johor (to dissolve state meeting).

“We will go away it to the state to decide,” he mentioned.

Earlier, Johor Islamic Religious Affairs Committee chairman Tosrin Jarvanthi had mentioned that the Johor state election was not mentioned throughout the weekly assembly of state govt council.

The BN-led Johor authorities’s majority in the state meeting had been lowered to just one seat following the loss of life of Kempas assemblyman Datuk Osman Sapian final month.
