PUTRAJAYA: The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) has launched the Islamic Calendar, Takwim 2022 Miladiah/ 1443-1444 Hijriah For Malaysia (Syawal 1443H Updated Edition) at https://www.e-solat.gov.my/.
Jakim’s Head of Corporate Communications Unit, Zakaria Othman in an announcement on Saturday (May 14) stated the calendar was up to date following the change within the date of 1 Syawal 1443H, which fell on May 22, 2022, as declared by the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, in comparison with the Takwim 2022 that was launched earlier which said May 3, 2022.
He stated the change solely concerned the month of May 2022/Syawal 1443H, whereas the opposite months weren’t affected.
“Hopefully, the calendar might help facilitate the organisation of every day actions, worship and affairs of the lives of Muslims within the nation,” he stated. – Bernama
