JOHOR BARU: Police will call up the organiser of a concert in Ayer Hitam to assist investigations underneath the Prevention and Control of Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342).
Johor police chief Comm Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat mentioned the police have been knowledgeable of the incident and can conduct an investigation following a viral video exhibiting a big crowd dancing on the occasion.
“I would like to remind event organisers not to create any programmes that could lead to public unrest. If they do, we will conduct an investigation into them.
“So in this case, it is clear that they have failed to comply with Act 342 when they are partying,” he mentioned throughout a press convention on the Johor police headquarters right here on Sunday (March 6).
He added that though the police didn’t obtain official data on the matter, an investigation will nonetheless be performed and they’ll call up the occasion organisers.
