JOHOR BARU: Mazlan Bujang has defended his transfer to go away Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), saying that he could have pressed the button to dissolve the state meeting earlier but determined to keep stability.

The former state govt councillor and Puteri Wangsa assemblyman mentioned he could have left the celebration way back but determined to persist with Bersatu as he didn’t want to be the explanation for the state meeting to be dissolved.

“They ought to cease blaming me for leaving Bersatu as I could have pressed the button to collapse the federal government earlier than but didn’t want to trigger instability.

“I have been very affected person. I wished to go away way back but I waited till the state meeting was dissolved earlier than doing so,” he informed The Star.

Asked if he would have caught with Bersatu if the state authorities was not dissolved final month, he admitted that that will have been the case.

“Yes, as a result of I was voted because the Puteri Wangsa assemblyman on a Bersatu ticket. So I have to be accountable and courteous.

“Now that the state meeting has been dissolved, I can go away at will. I shouldn’t be referred to as a ‘frog’ as I solely left the celebration after I carried out my duty,” he mentioned.

On Jan 27, the previous Tebrau Bersatu chief and former state training, data, heritage and tradition committee chairman introduced his exit from the celebration.

This got here simply days after the state meeting was dissolved on Jan 22 following consent from Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, which paved the way in which for a snap election.
