Johor polls: PM views voting process in state election

JOHOR BARU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob seen the voting process in the fifteenth Johor state election, which started at 8am Saturday (March 12).

He arrived at Sekolah Kebangsaan Perumahan Tampoi 2, Kempas, which is among the 1,021 polling centres arrange for this election, at 1.55pm and watched the goings-on for about 10 minutes from outdoors the college grounds.

The Prime Minister was additionally seen having a brief chat with the candidate for the Kempas state seat Datuk Ramlee Bohani.

Ramlee is going through a seven-cornered struggle with Napsiah Khamis Maharan from Pakatan Harapan, Nornekman Osman (Parti Pejuang Tanah Air), Nur Faizal Abdullah (Perikatan Nasionall) and three unbiased candidates, Mohd Azwan Abd Rahman, Mohd Suhimi A. Rahman and Mohd Hambali Munadi.

Also seen was Johor Umno Liaison Committee deputy chairman, Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed.

A complete of two,539,606 bizarre voters out of the two,597,742 registered are eligible to vote in this election, with 239 candidates from 15 political events contesting for the 56 state seats.

Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri in a tweet, stated he was grateful that the voting process as we speak was clean and orderly.

The Prime Minister additionally seen the voting process for the Kota Iskandar seat from outdoors the grounds of Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Mutiara Rini, Skudai.
