Jordan Cashmyer, who was featured on MTV’s 16 And Pregnant in 2014, died in Maryland, the United States, on Sunday (Jan 16).
She was 26 years previous.
News of Cashmyer’s demise was shared by her stepmother, Jessica Cashmyer, by a put up written on the Facebook account of the Dennis M. Cashmyer Jr., her husband and Jordan’s father.
A reason for demise was not instantly obtainable.
“My oldest beloved daughter, Jordan has handed away, she was solely 26 years previous,” Jessica Cashmyer wrote on Facebook.
“Our hearts are really damaged. No dad or mum ought to ever should undergo shedding a toddler, ever. Please preserve my household in your ideas prayers as we navigate by this horrible tragedy.”
Cashmyer was featured in a 2014 episode of MTV’s 16 And Pregnant, alongside her household and then-boyfriend Derek Taylor.
Cashmyer’s phase documented her struggles with securing employment and experiencing homelessness as a pregnant lady after being disowned by her household, as her dad and mom didn’t approve of her relationship with Taylor.
Cashmyer gave start to a daughter, Evie.
The younger mom later signed over custody rights on a brief foundation to Taylor’s mom in 2015.
Cashmyer was arrested for drug possession in 2017, although she had immediately confronted her battle with dependancy because the incident.
In Jan 2021, Cashmyer shared photographs from a celebration being held by her and her buddies to rejoice a 12 months of sobriety.
