Lorry catches fire in Yong Peng, Bomba still investigating cause

YONG PENG: A lorry burst into flames in entrance of a rubber merchandise wholesaler at Parit Sentang Batu, Yong Peng close to Batu Pahat on Wednesday (Feb 9).

Yong Peng Fire and Rescue Department chief Asyraf Nur Mohd Yusoff stated the division acquired an emergency name at round 3.26pm.

One Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) automobile, one Emergency Medical Response Service (EMRS) automobile and two items of Rapid Intervention Motorcycles (RIM) from the Yong Peng and the Penggaram Fire and Rescue Departments had been deployed to the scene.

“The operations had been led by the Yong Peng Fire and Rescue Department senior officer II, Badrul Hisham Loi Abdullah,” he stated in a press release Wednesday.

Fifteen firemen from each stations had been concerned in the operation.

Asyraf stated about 80% of the lorry was broken in the fire including the firemen used water hoses from the water tank pump.

The operation ended at round 4.24pm and the case was still below investigation to find out the cause of the fire and losses.
