JOHOR BARU: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (MACC) Batu Pahat department has detained a supervisor of an organization for allegedly submitting false documents to win a tender.
The tender was for bridge restore work in Yong Peng for the quantity of RM150,000.
The 35-year previous male suspect was arrested on the Johor Baru MACC workplace on Wednesday (Jan 19) at 5pm after giving his assertion.
The suspect was searching for permission to take part in a tender and allegedly used false particulars to the native authority to acquire the work in April 2021.
The case is being investigated below Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.
In a separate case, the Batu Pahat MACC department detained a 34-year previous Bangladeshi man for allegedly bribing a neighborhood authority enforcement officer for RM300.
The suspect, who works as a sundry store assistant in Skudai, allegedly dedicated the act in mid-January this 12 months as inducement for the officer not to subject a compound discover to him.
The foreigner had been promoting untaxed liquor and cigarettes, in violation of Section 107 of the Local Government Act 1976.
The suspect was detained on the Johor Baru MACC workplace on Wednesday (Jan 19) at 2.30pm when giving his assertion.
The case is being investigated below Section 17(b) of the MACC Act 2009.
Meanwhile, Johor MACC director confirmed the arrests, including each suspects had been detained for 24 hours to help investigations and can be launched on MACC bail.
