MACC detains university hospital employee over alleged abuse of position


SHAH ALAM: The Selangor Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on Wednesday (Dec 15) arrested an administrative assistant of a public university hospital for allegedly abusing her position in reference to the availability of hospital gear valued at greater than RM300,000.

According to sources, the 53-year-old suspect was arrested on the Selangor MACC workplace at 2.50pm after she turned as much as have her assertion recorded.

“The suspect had abused her position when she participated within the resolution to nominate her personal firm to produce workers gear value about RM300,000 to a public university hospital between 2017 and 2020,” stated a supply.

Selangor MACC director Datuk Alias Salim, when contacted, confirmed the arrest and stated the suspect could be charged within the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on Thursday (Dec 16). – Bernama
