KUALA LUMPUR: The government is mulling opening the country’s borders to fully-vaccinated international travellers from selected countries without the need for quarantine, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

The National Recovery Council chairman said this consideration would be based upon mutual recognition of vaccine certificates as practised by several countries.

Muhyiddin was speaking to the press on Friday (Oct 15) after chairing a recovery council meeting that also involved Opposition leaders and captains of industry.

He said the meeting also focused on helping the two most affected groups in the country, the SMEs and the underprivileged, in the recovery process after the Covid-19 pandemic.
