Malaysian singer Nora Ariffin says ex-husband was forced to divorce her

Malaysian singer Datuk Nora Ariffin not too long ago stunned followers when she introduced her divorce from her husband, senior lecturer Dr Rushdi Ramli.

According to mStar, The Star‘s Malay-language information portal, Nora took to social media on Monday (Aug 12) to share a video recording of Rushdi announcing the talak.

Shortly after posting the clip, the singer made an Instagram Story claiming that her ex-husband had been forced to divorce her in opposition to his will.

She additionally urged the general public not to blame him as he had allegedly acted beneath the orders of one other individual.

However, she declined to reveal the id of the person.

“He was simply following the orders given to him, which is to let me go without a reason and to record a video as proof. I’m shocked and at a loss for words,” the 51-year-old wrote.

Last September, Nora rubbished rumours of hassle in her marriage to Rushdi.

The former couple had married in 2021, although Nora stored the small print of the ceremony personal, solely sharing that Rushdi was an excellent buddy of her late husband, composer Johan Nawawi.

Nora was married to Johan from 1992 till his passing on March 24, 2017. They had 4 youngsters collectively.

In 2019, Nora misplaced her second youngster, singer Muhammad Syakir Aliff. He was 20.
