IPOH: A man was killed and another man was injured in an accident involving five lorries at Simpang Pulai.
A spokesperson from the Fire and Rescue Department said they received a distress call at about 10pm on Wednesday (June 23) on the accident at KM288.7 of the North-South Expressway.
He said when firemen arrived at the scene, four lorries and a tanker transporting chemicals had collided with one another.
“The tanker driver died at the scene, while another person sustained injuries to his foot. A hazardous materials unit was also brought in to detect if there was any leakage from the tanker, but none was discovered,” he added.
