Melaka police confirm report lodged against Muhyiddin over RM1.3mil claim

MELAKA: Melaka police confirm {that a} report has been lodged against Pari Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic) for allegedly receiving RM1.3mil from Ultra Kirana Sdn Bhd (UKSB).

Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit mentioned the report was lodged on the Sungai Udang police station at 9pm on Friday (June 17).

“We will quickly determine on which part of the Penal Code to categorise and examine the report,” he mentioned when contacted on Saturday (June 18).

The report was lodged by former Umno supreme council member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam.

Earlier Friday, Muhyiddin denied receiving the money inducement, someday in 2018 when he was the then dwelling minister, as claimed by a witness within the corruption trial of Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Muhyiddin, who can also be the National Recovery Council chairman, refuted the claims made by UKSB administrative supervisor David Tan on the witness stand on Friday that the previous acquired as much as RM1.3mil from the corporate.
