BERLIN (Reuters) – Russia’s determination to publish correspondence with the French and German governments regarding a failed assembly of international ministers to debate the Ukraine disaster did nothing to make up for the failure to satisfy, Chancellor Angela Merkel stated.
“The publication of letters is not so shocking. I typically learn my very own letters within the papers. We definitely don’t have anything to cover,” she stated.
“I requested the Russian president to rearrange such a gathering whereas I’m nonetheless Chancellor. I’d have appreciated a gathering at head of presidency stage even, and that did not occur. I remorse that and the publication of the trade of letters will not change the truth that such a gathering may have taken place.”
