MGRC inks partnership for expansion in Saudi Arabia


PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Genomics Resource Centre Bhd (MGRC) has entered right into a strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia-based United Doctors Hospital (UDH) for collaboration in genomics and cell therapies.

In a submitting with Bursa Malaysia, the genomics and biopharmaceutical specialist stated the partnership is legitimate for three years.

Under the partnership, MGRC and UDH will take the required steps to encourage and promote cooperation in the gross sales and advertising of genetic screening checks and cell remedy merchandise; collaboration in analysis and improvement (R&D), and different areas of cooperation in genomics and cell therapies to be mutually determined by each events.

UDH, positioned in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is accredited by the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions.

“This strategic partnership with UDH enables us to expand the geographical reach of our products and services beyond Malaysia to the Middle East and North Africa region.

“It will also enable us to collaborate on R&D with various domain specialists to enhance our suite of genetic screening tests and cell therapies,” government director Azri Azerai stated in a press release.
