Must have MySejahtera, Covid Trace, Qmunity app
KUCHING: All Malaysians from Malaya, Sabah and Labuan entering Sarawak do not have to apply for approval from the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) or take the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test for Covid-19 three days before travelling to the state.
“But they must comply with the new SOP which makes it compulsory to download the MySejahtera app and fill the SDMC’s health declaration form (E-Health Declaration),” he said during his daily Covid-19 daily press conference at the old State Legislative Assembly (DUN) building on Tuesday (June 9).
He said passengers were also advised to download the state’s Covid Trace and Qmunity app.
He also said all Sarawakians returning from abroad will be quarantined for 14 days at designated hotels and Covid-19 sample will be taken on day 10.
“All Malaysians entering Sarawak with a history of travelling abroad within the past month are required to undergo quarantine for 14 days and sample take on day 10 as well,” he said.
“The decision was made in response to complaints that airlines have to increase airfares because social distancing means fewer passengers by 66 percent,” he said.
In the meantime, Uggah also said village security and development committees (JKKK) and neighbourhood watch committees in the state would be instructed to ensure that the SOP was complied with as well make sure that no outsiders enter their areas.
